THE

WORKSHOP

The Day

One day that changes how your team communicates, leads, and holds each other accountable.

Most leadership training produces awareness. People leave knowing they should communicate better, listen more, give harder feedback. Then Monday happens.

This workshop is built differently. Every activity produces a specific behavior, not a realization. Participants leave with frameworks they have already practiced, commitments they have already signed, and a team that has already been through something real together.

The Structure

How the day runs.

Foundation

Morning

Ground rules and context

We establish norms before anything else. What gets said in the room stays in the room. What gets committed to follows people out of it.

Psychological safety framing

Not as a concept. As an operational variable. Teams that can surface problems early prevent the ones that become incidents.

Plutchik's Wheel of Emotions

Where your team currently operates emotionally, and what that means for how decisions get made under pressure.

Practice

Midday

Empathy vs. sympathy

An activity-based distinction that most teams have never actually worked through. One builds connection. The other creates distance. Most leaders default to the wrong one.

Personal storytelling

Structured, facilitator-guided. Not therapy. Leaders share specific moments to build the trust that makes everything in the afternoon possible.

Leadership style mapping

A working survey of leadership styles in current practice: transactional, transformational, servant, and situational, with live application to real team contexts.

Application

Afternoon

Conversational Capacity framework

Craig Weber's framework for having hard conversations without them derailing. Teams practice live with real scenarios from their environment.

Values discovery

Not a values poster exercise. An actual inquiry into what drives this team and what they are willing to hold each other to.

Commitments and next steps

Everyone leaves with something written, specific, and signed by the room. Not a good-intentions conversation. A record of what changes Monday morning.

Deliverables

What every participant leaves with.

These are specific, physical, and usable. Not a certificate of completion and a good feeling.

Personal leadership style map for each participant
Conversational Capacity framework with practiced scenarios
A team values statement built by the room, not handed to them
Written, signed commitments for 30-day follow-through
Participant workbook with all frameworks from the day
30-day follow-up action plan with check-in prompts
